Free social skills test

20 questionsAbout 3 minutesNo signupResults right away

This free social skills test takes about three minutes: twenty questions about what actually happens when you talk to people, no signup and no email. At the end you see ten social skills ranked from the one that's hardest for you right now to the one that's easiest, with the three hardest explained in your own answers, and a path of lessons that starts with the hardest.

Updated November 3, 2026. Same questions and scoring as the quiz in the app.

What does the test measure?

Ten skills, the same ten the app tracks. Each question is a situation, not a trait: how often your mind drifts while someone talks, whether you tell someone you like them, whether you keep quiet when a coworker bothers you. The test scores the situations and groups them into these ten:

  • Emotional Presence: staying present and steady
  • Body Language: eye contact, posture, what your hands do
  • Listening: letting people finish and showing you heard
  • Voice: being heard clearly and steadily
  • Leadership: getting people to act on what you say
  • Dating: flirting, dates, asking someone out
  • Storytelling: small talk, stories, questions, humor
  • Social Confidence: talking to new people and getting a word in
  • Professional Presence: meetings, criticism, introducing yourself at work
  • Conflict Resolution: saying the hard thing and making up after a fight

The ranking is relative to you. It doesn't compare you with other people; it shows which of your own ten is the weakest right now, so you know where to start.

How does the test work?

Twenty questions in four short blocks, one question per screen, and most people finish in about three minutes:

  • Your goals. Up to three things you want to get better at, from feeling confident around people to staying calm under pressure.
  • Where it's hard. Up to two places where talking is hardest right now: strangers, groups, dates, work, family, one-on-one.
  • How often. Ten everyday situations, one per skill, each answered from "never" to "almost always".
  • Which one. Eight sets of four situations where you pick the one that sounds most like you, and one tie-breaker if two skills land even.

There are no right answers and no score to beat. Pick what is true for you: a flattering answer only moves the wrong skill to the top of your path. Last, you choose how many minutes a day you can give it, 3, 5 or 10. That sets the length of your lessons, and you can change it later.

What do you get at the end?

Your results open right away, on this site, with nothing to enter:

  • Where it's hardest. Your three hardest skills, each with the answer of yours that put it there.
  • All ten, ranked. Every skill with a level from "needs work" to "strong", so you see the whole picture, not just the top.
  • Your path. Courses in order, starting with the hardest skill and then the ones that match your goals, with the number of lessons and the day you'd finish at one lesson a day.
  • Your first lesson. It opens right here in the browser; the rest of the path lives in the app.

If you want the path waiting for you in the app, you can save it with your email on the results page. Nothing else is sent to that address.

How accurate is a 20-question test?

It's a self-report, so it is as honest as your answers: it ranks the situations you say you struggle with, it doesn't watch you talk. That's enough for what it's for, which is choosing what to practice first. The lessons do the fine-tuning: each one ends with a scene you answer in your own words, and the feedback there shows how the skill actually stands.

It is not a clinical measure and not a diagnosis of anything. If social anxiety keeps you from working, studying or seeing people, talk to a professional; the lessons can run alongside.

Questions people ask

Is the social skills test free?
Yes, and it stays free: no signup, no email, no card. The results and your first lesson open on this site. The app's free version then gives you one new lesson a day and your first course with AI feedback included.
How long does it take?
About three minutes for most people: twenty questions, one per screen, most of them a single tap. You can go back and change an answer before you finish.
Can I retake the test?
Not here: your result is saved in this browser and your path is built from it, one path at a time, the same as in the app. Work the path instead; the scenes in the lessons show you where each skill really stands, more precisely than a second pass through the questions would.
Is this a test for social anxiety?
No. It measures skills in situations: what you do when someone cuts in, whether you ask someone out, how you handle a critic at work. It doesn't measure anxiety and it isn't a diagnosis. If anxiety is the bigger problem, a professional is the right first step, and the lessons can run alongside.
Is it the same as the quiz in the app?
Yes: the same twenty questions and the same scoring, so your path comes out the same whichever you take. Take it here and your first lesson opens in the browser; take it in the app and you start there. Either way, it's taken once.
